Acts 4:31-35
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.
Acts 5:12-15
12The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick
- This is an incredible picture of God’s Revolutionary Economics. The community gathered and tangible events occurred that changed the world:
- prayer that literally shakes things up
- unity and love of believers
- spirit of generosity
- no one was needy
- signs and wonders
- highly regarded
- massive growth in new believers
- healing sick

The radical nature of God’s economy is that as the community of God, the church, lives with the basic assumption that God’s power is working through them as they radically love for and care for one another. God provides as they are faithful.
