You may have heard the old saying that when it comes to retail it is dependent on three things, location, location, and location. In other words if you open up a coffee shop where people cannot find it, it will be incredibly difficult to sell your coffee. But if you have the right location sales can be multiplied.
What if much of our spiritual struggle is location based?
Many of us have grown up believing that the fulfillment of our hope will potentially be partially realized here and now, but in all likelihood will be complete some day when we get to heaven. This is a “now and not yet” theology. The idea is that Gods promises are sometimes filled now but many will not be filled until later after Jesus comes again. But is this right?
Scripture seems NOT to point to time but rather to location…
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:6-7 NIV
We have already been raised with Christ at His resurrection and already seated with Him in the heavenlies!!! This is done. We are there.
